> [!info] Part of the [[Guide/Overview|Human Generator Guide]] ### Texture sets Human Generator comes shipped with a range of skin textures, each at 4 resolution levels. By default Human Generator loads 4K textures for generated humans. In the texture sets section you can change both the texture itself and it's resolution. ![[Screenshot_Blender_000147.png]] 1. Search for a specific texture. Human Generator's default textures do not have very descriptive names, but possible 3rd party packs might. 2. Click here to see an overview of all texture sets available at this resolution 3. Click here to select a different resolution. **NOTE:** You need to afterwards also click on the texture selector (2) and select the texture you want. Just changing the resolution category does not change the resolution of the texture. 4. Click here to get a random texture at the selected resolution >[!info]- Examples of the available resolutions > 512px > ![[Screenshot_Blender_000145.png]] > 1024px > ![[Screenshot_Blender_000143.png]] > 4K > ![[Screenshot_Blender_000141.png]] > 8K (You'll need to have the optional 8K texture pack installed. This is included with your purchase.) > ![[Screenshot_Blender_000149.png]] >[!example] Add your own textures >Want to modify the existing textures or add new textures to the library? See [[Custom texture sets]]. --- ### Main settings ![[Screenshot_Blender_000151.png]] 1. Click here to randomize the three main sliders (Tone, Redness, and Saturation) 2. These three sliders allow you to easily change the color of the skin texture. Tone makes the skin lighter or darker, redness can make the skin redder or more yellow, and the final slider changes the color saturation. 3. If you want more or less roughness of the skin you can change the normal strength. If you want to change the reflectivity of the skin you can change the roughness slider. 4. Subsurface scattering makes the skin look more realistic, but it takes much longer to render. Enable this for the most photorealism if it's okay that rendering takes more time. See the example below for the difference. 5. This switch turns on or off the underwear layer of the models. > [!note]- Subsurface scattering example > Subsurface scattering turned off > ![[Screenshot_Blender_000153.png]] > Subsurface scattering turned on > ![[Pasted image 20230803214821.png]] ### Freckles & Splotches ![[Screenshot_Blender_000157.png]] These sliders add subtle effects on the skin. Freckles are only in the face and splotches across the whole body. ### Eyes ![[Pasted image 20230803215310.png]] These sliders allow you to change the color of the iris and of the sclera (the white part around the iris). ### Beard Shadow (Male humans only) ![[Screenshot_Blender_000160.gif]] ### Makeup (Female humans only) ![[Screenshot_Blender_000162.gif]] By manually typing in values you can go higher than the slider limits.
